Hand Appliqued Chocolate Bars Hearts

I finally got these completed and listed in my Etsy.

I love doing needleturn applique.

 

These 12 hand appliqued blocks were made by me.

 

 

Each block is Apprx. 9 1/4 X 9 1/4 inches.

 

The hearts are about 4 1/4 inches at the widest points; and about 5 inches at the tallest points.

Making Log cabin blocks are fairly easy.  I've made many sets.

Apprx. 10 x 9.50 inches, each.

 

 

 

It was another soothing task to hand - applique the hearts to the scrolls background.  

 

Each heart is positioned approximately the same.

 

Notice the hand - top-stitching as well.

 

I hand - embroidered, hearts within hearts.

 

The backs are fairly neat in appearance.

I'm new at making this type of block.

 

After creating the 9 - patch units, and matching the seams, the rest is easy.  LOL.

Americana / Patriotic -  Red White Blue Pinwheels 

Quilt Top blocks

I created these beautiful pinwheels quilt blocks.

They might appear to be easier to make, than they really are.

 

Well, I guess it's not that the pinwheel block, overall, is so difficult to make; however, getting the center points exact, is a challenge.  -no matter how many of these blocks have been previously made.

 

I have loved sewing since pre-teen; and have come to realize that SOME quilt blocks just weren't meant to be perfect.  Now. That's my excuse; and I sticking to it.

The backs are trimmed.
