++ A quilt that I made for my grand-daughter. ++

  

She wanted random quarter moons spread across the quilt.

 

 

I drew a pattern, then cut and hand appliqued the moons.

This is a new quilt that I pieced and machine quilted.  It was machine washed after completion.

 

9-patch blocks are really not always difficult to seam-match.

 

 There are so many animals on this quilt.

 

The animals include: geese, monkey, giraffe, bear, squirrel, goat, turkey, horse, penguin, sheep, lamb, tiger, kangaroo, rabbit, chicken, dog, deer, elephant, and moose / elk.

QUILTED - Hand -Appliqued Rabbit and Heart .

Pocket ~ Bears, Brooms, Stars ~ Yellow QUILT.

 

 

Apprx. 50 1/2 x 41 inches.

 

The pocket is large enough to hold brushes, a small toy, bibs and combs, etc.

 

Love the hand-appliqued heart, full of stars, and bears on their brooms, - that I placed on the back of the quilt.

Half  Square Triangles - Quilt Top

Apprx. 61x61 inches.

 

Time consuming.  Time consuming.   Time consuming.

Making HST's could be thought of as a soothing encounter...

...however, that's not necessarily the case.

You've probably noticed that all of my seams aren't matched. HEADACHE #310!!!

The back seams.  I try to press each row in the same direction.

 

 

Oh well!!  Once quilted - it should really keep one warm.
