(I finally get around to updating  my blog.)

I have created a beautiful Irish Chain Quilt, with an on-point border.

 

It had been a while since I created a quilt top with a decorative border; however, this one turned out beautifully.  Enjoy the photos.

 

I counted 28 on-point blocks on the border. How many did you count?

 

I absolutely love this floral fabric.

 

It is Apple Harvest Season

 

I've been in the sewing "lab" recently, and got the chance to create this FALL seasonal beauty.

Who does not love delicious apples !!!

This is a beautiful NEW Apples and Baskets, Harvest, Pinwheels, Green, Red, White, Brown ~ Irish Chain Quilt Top that I made. 

**Notice the neat PINWHEELS in each corner border.

 

 

Apples fabric:  Wilmington Prints 

White fabric:  Southern Belle

 

You can do bluework, redwork or other embroidery in the solid  squares.  Make this a family heirloom. Use it throughout the year. Great for a wall, lap, crib, wheelchair  quilt.  This is the top only.  You add batting, backing and your  favorite quilting designs.

 I think that October 31 is probably one of the scariest nights of the year; in make-believe world.

 

I created two home-crafted quilt tops, on my sewing machine; that are usable for many years to come.

 

Fabrics are pre-washed, pre-shrunk good quality 100% cottons.

This is a beautiful NEW Black Cats, Gold Stars and Moons, Orange Checkerboard  Single Irish Chain Quilt Top that I made.  The stars and moons have slight gold highlights.

 

Love the orange and black checkerboard alternate squares. -A perfect match. 

The inner black border is the perfect accent.

After some time, perhaps too much time, I'm updating my, no doubt, feeling abandoned blog. May I never allow so much time again to pass without a hither or a haw. I finally finished and listed on Etsy a Sawtooth Star Quilt Top that I had some fun in making.

 

 

I can't say that the total experience, though I love sewing, was fun. In my effort to perfect the quilt top, I seam ripped some of the borders around the blocks a few times. (I don't think that quilters every enjoy ripping seams)

 

 

If I do say so myself, I think that I did a pretty-good job in centering the post in the shabby, multi-colors sashing, as the above photo shows.

 

 

This quilt top is composed of only four LARGE scrappy sawtooth stars. I love doing scrappy pieced work-so soothing.  
 

Did you realize that there are FIVE borders on this quilt top? -Count them if you can.

It's all coming back to me now. Updating this blog used to be such a nerve-wrecking task, that I wanted to update more often was outweighed by the hair-pulling errors that I would often constantly receive while updating. Now I remember why I hadn't updated in so long!!!
