PINWHEELS - Quilt Top Blocks

These are 9 x 9 inches.

I've been making pinwheel blocks again.

Pinwheels are easy to make; the exception being that the centers might not always result in EXACT points.

Loving how this wonderful feather fabric correlates with the birds fabric. This combination was a last-minute, WOW thought.

Loving the Red, White and Blue -AMERICANA -Patriotic look.

Bear Paws and Nine Patch

Quilt Blocks

Turkey Red / Crimson and White.

Red and white with stars.

Making Bear's Paw blocks are not necessarily the easiest blocks to make; and are VERY time-consuming; however, I don't occasionally mind the challenge.

Making 9 / Nine-Patch blocks are almost one of my favorites.
Getting a 100% seam-match isn't always easy, but, I don't mind ripping, sometimes.  Thanks to whomever invented the seam ripper.

Charlie Brown - Snoopy - Soccer  - Table Placemats
~ REVERSIBLE Scrappy, Hand - Appliqued Hearts ~

I attached colorful strips of cotton fabric to the backgrounds.

With the raw-edge method, I then hand-appliqued hearts to the fronts of these lovely placemats.

The beautiful borders are double-bind with red fabric.

The backs are done in a gorgeous farm scene.

Scrappy Pieced - Shabby Chic - HAND Appliqued Apple Placemats

Each mat is approximately 19 1/2 x 14 inches.

I've listed three mats here, that I hand appliqued, using the raw edge method.

Lovely double-bind borders.

The hand-appliqued apple stitching  was done so as to show on the back of the work.

Annie's Choice Quilt Block

12 x 12 inches.

This is my first attempt at making this particular quilt block; and it turned out quite proper.

I did not work from a pattern, and on my first try, the block turned out to be only 6 1/4 by 6 1/4 inches. My attempt was for a block that would be, at least, ten inches. (guess I should return to math school)

Loving the black and white, and the dandelions.

The 6 1/4 block is below.
Working with those tiny squares....
