My garden received plenty of rain; after over a week.

 

The chickens were either looking for bugs, or inspecting the new plantings.

 

Still waiting for the first eggplant to produce. Several blooms, but no produce.

 

A pickin' from the garden; and from the hen-house.

 

The banana pepper was mighty delicious for my breakfast addition.

 

 

I had quite a few blueberries this year.

I've been busy making Bear's Paw Blocks.

 

 

Making these blocks are very time-consuming, but can be mighty pretty, once completed.

 

 

 

Who knows, a bear just might decide to visit the Eiffel Tower.

 

Americana / Patriotic -  Red White Blue Pinwheels 

Quilt Top blocks

I created these beautiful pinwheels quilt blocks.

They might appear to be easier to make, than they really are.

 

Well, I guess it's not that the pinwheel block, overall, is so difficult to make; however, getting the center points exact, is a challenge.  -no matter how many of these blocks have been previously made.

 

I have loved sewing since pre-teen; and have come to realize that SOME quilt blocks just weren't meant to be perfect.  Now. That's my excuse; and I sticking to it.

I made a few turnstile blocks recently. This was a first at trying this style of blocks.

 

One would think that, as long as I've been sewing, since childhood, I would have already tried every block that has been made. Nope!

 

 These blocks are approximately 8.25 x 8.25 inches each.

The off-white fabric is called:  Japanese Garden.

 

 

These Cranberry, Green, White, Pink Floral blocks are 8 x 8 inches.

 

 

 These paisley blocks are 6.50 x 6.50.

 

 

The chicks blocks are 8 1/4 each.

 

 

 

I've notice that, depending on the color placement during construction, the turnstile blocks can look-like a totally different pattern; although it is the exact same pattern.

 

There are many more that I still haven't tried. ex. Martha Washington's star, Drunkard Path, etc., and those that are more easily pieced via hand.

Hand Appliqued ~ Needle-turn ~ White Daisy

Wall-Hanging - Small - Mini - Little Quilt

There are two hanging tabs on the back for wall-hanging.

 

This is a gorgeous new: Totally Hand-Appliqued, and Hand-Quilted,  little quilt that I made.

 

It was a soothing pleasure creating this little gem.

 

The daisy, stem, and leaf was done with olde fashioned needle-turn applique.

 

 

This was TOTALLY HAND QUILTED by me.  Thin batting is inside.

I named this one "cactus" due to the formation of the green logs causing a cactus - look. Love it.

Great for a crib, wall, throw, lap, wall-hanging, wheelchair quilt.

I love the color combination in this quilt top. Some are retro-look fabrics.
